ISTT participates in the 14th WTA Hi-Tech Fair

The World Technopolis Association (WTA) annually holds a Hi-Tech fair in Daejoon, Korea. This year’s fair which took place from the 11^th to the 14^th of Sep, 2017 had representatives from different science and technology towns and clusters from around the world including Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT). With the organization of such an event,WTA aims to develop the network of relations between different innovative ecosystems of the world, bringing together the expertise and knowhow of universities, scientific research institutes, S&T parks and incubators and technological clusters in the field of science and technology management and development.

This year as part of the side programs developed alongside the fairs main agenda and the governing board general assembly, an array of programs was arranged including a session dedicated to the Global Innovation Forum (GIF), WTA-UNESCO training workshops and the Hi-Tech Fair itself.

ISTT’s Vice President for Technology Development, Dr. Mohammad Javad Omidi and Mr. Morteza Bisheh, member of the Governing Board of Isfahan’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines attended this event in the hope to strengthen the mutual relations between ISTT and Isfahan’s Chamber of Commerce on issues in relation to the export of knowledge based products to international markets. He attended a number of business matching meetings with Korean companies in this regard.

ISTT representative also attended the board meeting of WTA where they discussed about the future plans and programs of the association.
